Going to the Rotterdam Market

When I went to the Rotterdam market, the first stall we went into was a stall with lots of jewelry and scarves. I saw a pretty bracelet, Luci saw a tiara, and I saw lots of earrings. Plus, I saw a beatiful brooch. There were many antique stalls. We did not go into all of them but I wanted to. At one of the stalls my mom bought a Holland bell. At the same stall we bought two matching teacups, and they had matching plates. And I saw a gray and white porcelain cat. The cat was holding a mouse. We bought it!

  1. I'm glad you love the market as much as I do, Esther! It was so fun to show you all my favorites--I had to buy some dates and sesame rings to munch now and massala curry to take home. Everywhere I turned, we found fun things and good deals. We couldn't find any Italian shoes in our size--the Lelly Kellies were too giant and not so cute--but the bag Esther bought for 2 Euros is really cute.

Afterward, we went to the big library and played in the children's section. Stevie thought he was in heaven. He got to just run all over and play after being stuck in his stroller for the market.

Esther, you are an expert on the metro now too!

  2. So now you have TWO cat souvenirs from Holland. Do you want me to find you a kitty souvenir here in Prague, too? You are kitty-kookoo!

  4. Hey Esther,
If I had a cat that would eat mice I might just buy it too, but since I don't have very many mice to feed it, I guess I'd better not get a cat.

  5. Esther-
You can now have a tea party with your own holland finery! If I were there I think I'd be very interested in the tiara.

  6. I love the market, Ess. I would look for a beaded headband.
I saw the most unusual one on a woman at Michael's in Provo
and I wanted to have the pattern so I could create them for all
my friends. Maybe there will be one at market. Grandmeu

  7. Hi Esther. It sounds like you are having so much fun. If I were at the market, I would want to go in every stall too. I wouldn't want to miss seeing anything. That's probably why Uncle Russ won't take me to Europe. He wouldn't be able to stand all the shopping!!!! Aunt Carmen
